eMBED’s Procurement service supports customer requirements for professional and technical advice and guidance relating to the procurement process, as well as practical support to customers undertaking a procurement.

Our Procurement Service delivers both Healthcare (Clinical) and Non-Healthcare Service projects.   The team will help to ensure that our customer complies with their statutory procurement responsibilities as set out in European and UK Competition and Procurement Law, as well as mandatory requirements set out by the Department of Health. The Procurement Service includes the following sub-products:

Market Management

Strategic, professional and technical advice and guidance to support options appraisals, market engagement, policy drafting and generalist guidance.

Procurement Project Support

Professional and technical advice and guidance to support and deliver procurement activity, including new forms of contract under the national Vanguard Programme. This includes management of projects using the AWARD and Bravo eTendering software solutions.

Our procurement service provides assurance that processes have been conducted in accordance with legislative requirements as well as professional and technical requirements. We will supply a tried and tested process which enables sound planning in terms of timescales.

Members of the Procurement Team involved in providing professional, technical support to Customers have, or are studying towards, MCIPS qualification.

The service’s processes and procedures are subject to an annual evaluation in order to provide assure customers of our compliance with relevant legislative and technical requirements.
